The Costa del Sol Tourist Board has welcomed a group of British journalists, who came on a fam trip organised to promote the flights connecting UK cities to Málaga by and Málaga as a travel destination. The trip was organised with the cooperation of Empresa Pública para la Gestión del Turismo y del Deporte de Andalucía.
The writers represented various newspapers: “The Sheffield Star,” “Buxton Advertiser,” “Lancashire Evening Post,” “The Northern Echo,” and “Burton Mail.” They were escorted by two representatives of Jet2 and members of our staff.
The visiting journalists went to Marbella, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, and Málaga City, where they saw the Arab Fortress, the Picasso Museum, the Thyssen Museum, and the Cathedral. In Fuengirola, they went on a boat ride, getting views of the coastline from a different perspective.
Their meals were courtesy of the Tourist Board. In addition, we sent them information before they came to the Costa del Sol and gave them promotional materials when they were here, as well as a press dossier in English which we thought they would find useful to write their articles on our destination.
