Top of Travel agents visit Málaga Province with the Tourist Board

The Costa del Sol Tourist Board has helped organise a fam trip for Top of Travel, after receiving a request from Turespaña. This is the second year the French tour operator has come to Spain on a fam trip, and they are now offering several Costa del Sol-based hotels to their customers.

Top of Travel sells a weekly charter flight to Málaga with Europe Airpost, but they also offer regular flights by Iberia, Air France, or Air Europa or specific flights from various cities (Bordeaux, Lille, Nantes, Toulouse, etc.).

The hotels they sell in Málaga are Hotel Club Palia La Roca, Hotel San Fermín, Hotel Alay (Benalmádena), Golf Hotel & Resort Atalaya Park (Estepona), Hotel Amaragua (Torremolinos), and Don Carlos Leisure Resort and Spa (Marbella). In addition, they offer four tours in Andalusia (www.topoftravel.fr).

Top of Travel sent two groups of 20 and 33 travel agents, who stayed at the Palia La Roca hotel. They were escorted by Top of Travel representatives and, in the case of the second group, a professional journalist.

They visited Benalmádena, Marbella, Puerto Banús, Mijas in Málaga, and then they went to Granada and Seville in a tour planned by their incoming travel agency.

The Tourist Board made a presentation of the Costa del Sol for them, planned a dinner party in La Carihuela for the first group, and organised guided tours of Marbella-Puerto Banús and Mijas. The transfers were contributed by Empresa Pública para la Gestión del Turismo y del Deporte de Andalucía.

Our visitors were amazed at the wide range of travel products and services available on the Costa del Sol. We handed out information materials on our travel destination.

The French market has been growing steadily, with 30.18% more visitors in 2010 than in 2009 (287,288) and 44.34% more visitors from January to April 2011 than in the first four months of 2010.
