Nine chefs from Andalusia and one from the Canaries at the 4th Cooking Competition in CIO-Mijas

This morning, the 3rd semi-finals of the 4th Annual Cooking Competition (CCA) were announced at the headquarters of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board. The event was attended by the Tourist Board Managing Director, Ana Gómez; the Managing Director of CIO-Mijas, José Gutiérrez; the Competition Manager, Laia Pasarell; the Manager of the CIO-Mijas Management Agency, Mariola Ustaran; and the chef at the Marbella-based restaurant El Lago, Diego del Río.
CCA is an annual event for professional cooks aged 23 or over. Endorsed by three-Michelin-starred chef Martín Berasategui, it comprises six semi-finals held across Spain. The 3rd semi-finals, to take place on June 1, have drawn contestants from Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Extremadura, Ceuta and Melilla. They are being held at the CIO-Mijas centre, which is also housing the Sponsor Village and a cooking show, “Chef TV.”
