Taking stock of the Easter holiday 2011, the President of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board, Salvador Pendón considered the results to have been very good, even despite the bad weather. The occupancy rate for Málaga’s hotels in Easter 2011 was 81.0%, 5% higher than in 2010. Other indicators are positive as well.
The average occupancy rate for coastal hotels was 80.3%, with higher rates for Málaga City and Marbella (82.2% and 86.5%, respectively). Hinterland hotels performed even better, with an average occupancy rate of 85.6%.
