Costa del Sol sales rise in travel site

The President of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board, Salvador Pendón, has announced the results of the campaign launched in July were very good. Through a cooperation agreement with the travel site, the Tourist Board intended to boost Málaga and the Costa del Sol’s travel offer in this travel community.
Actions included the creation of a customised page in, content integration, and a fam trip. They all aimed at increasing hotel bookings in our travel destination.

In four months, the Costa del Sol contents at had 88,553 visitors and more than 375,645 web pages visited. Users shared 230 places, 407 experiences, 2,534 pictures, and 53 videos. Total hotel sales amounted to €25,405 (flights excluded), whereas in 2009 they had totalled €2,338. This means a 986.6% growth.
